Local business, Moje Solutions Limited, has taken collaboration to a new level by accessing the University of Wolverhampton’s wide ranging entrepreneur space and support programmes.

Moje Solutions, a Wolverhampton-based eco start-up business, was first introduced to the University support programmes by SPARK Business Incubation Centre through their SPARK Start support programme to bring to market their new product, Hygiene Ace, which is a sustainable, hygienic and innovative hand dryer shield.

Moje Solutions, founded by Lal Hussan, was sign-posted to the University’s Environmental Technologies & Resource Efficiency Support Services (EnTRESS) Project in April this year and exhibited at the Sustainability Conference Earth Day held at Springfield Campus.

They have also received support through our Brownfield Research and Innovation Centre (BRIC) for content creation, including photography, slow motion video and videography for its innovative product.

Louise Hunter, Business Incubation Manager at SPARK Business Incubation Centre, said: “Moje Solutions has fully embraced the ethos of SPARK Incubator, supported our sustainability initiatives and engaged with the wide variety of mentoring and support available at the University. With his tenacity, passion and commitment to teamwork, Lal will undoubtedly achieve success not only with Hygiene Ace but also with his innovations currently in progress.”

Hussan Lal, Inventor and Researcher at Moje Solutions said: “The experience of collaborating with the University of Wolverhampton has been phenomenal. The quality of support I received through various academic research assists would be hard to describe in words. The University of Wolverhampton’s holistic support for businesses like mine are truly sparking the magic somewhere. I genuinely wish there were more and more businesses taking advantage of these support programmes.”

The Hygiene Ace product and its potential benefits could offer a viable retrofit solution to meet these challenges, which have been bought into sharper focus following the Covid pandemic.
