SWEET SUCCESS FOR RICHARD GRAHAM
A SPARK tenant with hidden talents!
This Morning recently ran a nationwide competition to discover a delicious homemade dessert for Tesco to sell.
They asked viewers to bring their already-made puddings to one of our three roadshows. Their judging panel including This Morning chef Gizzi Erskine and Dave Oliver (product development specialist at Tesco) tasted the sweets and chose their favourites to take through to the semi-final in London...
The winning dessert, once chosen, would be sold for a limited period at Tesco, with all profits donated to Tesco's charity of the year.
Richard Graham of Equynox entered the competition with his Sweet Lumsell's Caribbean Pudding
Richard was a chef 10 years ago and worked his way up to Head Chef mainly concentrating on English/French cuisine. He didn't bake as a chef but instead concentrated on entrées and main meals. Therefore his talent for baking remained undiscovered until now.......
Richard's inspiration is his mum. She taught him how to cook well before he was 10 and as a result Richard cooks by taste rather than measuring out ingredients. One thing is for sure Richard has certainly inherited his Mum's skills and has impressed us all here at SPARK by achieving second place in the final. We all feel without doubt that he should have won especially with the speed and eagerness that Phillip and Holly tucked into his pudding!!
So Richard the next tenant meeting in November ........ we are all waiting in anticipation spoons a ready!!
