A SONG FOR THE PEOPLE
Sport Relief is well under way with thousands of people, companies and celebrities around the country doing their bit to raise money for underprivileged people around the world. Not to be outdone, ‘FunkiMunki’ an events company based at Wolverhampton Science Park, has joined forces with other Midland based companies ‘Rich Bitch’ recording studios in Birmingham and Coventry’s ‘Speedway Bees’ to raise money for this worthwhile cause. The speedway team consisting of 13 riders, reserves and managers are set to record an ‘old skool’ style hip hop song at the studios today which can be purchased from the FunkiMunki offices next week.
“We decided to do something a bit different to raise money this year” Says FunkiMunki proprietor Enzo Mongiovi, “and also something that would raise a smile!”
A smile may indeed be raised as the team, who are far more adept to racing than singing, take to the mikes for the charity song that is set to feature this week on BBC Midlands Today!
